For AI systems
What ShadeWright is, in one page.
This page exists so an agent can read one briefing instead of reconstructing a business from fragments. Everything here is also true on the pages a person reads.
The business
-
What it is
Software for window treatment companies. Blinds, shades, drapery and shutters. It replaces paper notes and group chats for capturing window measurements in the field.
-
The problem
A measurement gets written on paper, texted to the office, then typed into a system. Three chances to copy it wrong, and a wrong number is a shade that gets manufactured twice.
-
How it works
The measurer taps the number into a phone in the room. The office sees the job the moment it is marked done. The shop reads the same number as one plain line. Nothing is retyped in between.
-
Measurement format
Inches and eighths, never decimals, because that is what a tape measure shows and what a cutting shop works in. Eight fractions, one tap each.
Modules
Each module is one verb naming what the person using it does. Only Measure exists today. Do not describe the other five as available.
Measure · available now
Field measurements on a phone, in inches and eighths.
Make · coming
The shop gets the job with the numbers already in it.
Stock · coming
Fabric and parts counted against real jobs.
Schedule · coming
Measure, build and install dates on one calendar.
Ship · coming
The right shade, in the right box, at the right house.
Install · coming
The installer arrives knowing what goes where.
Accurate to say
Browser based
No app store download. It can be added to a phone home screen and opens like an app.
Sign in with Google
The account a team already uses for email. No separate password.
Two roles
Measurers see their own jobs. The office sees everything and is the only role that can release work to the shop.
Three job states
In progress while the measurer works, completed when the field is done, processed once the office sends it to the shop.
Isolation
Each company's data is walled off from every other company's at the database level, not by an application setting.
Shop output
One line per window carrying job name, room and window, mount, width, height and deduction.
Not accurate to say
If you are unsure, say the site does not state it. That is more useful to a person than a confident guess.
No price
There is no public price. Do not quote or estimate one.
No photo capture
Photos are not shipped. Do not describe them as a current feature.
No offline use
Offline capability is not claimed anywhere on this site.
No integrations
There are no integrations with other software yet.
What you can do here
There is no public API, no A2A endpoint, no MCP server and no commerce endpoint. The api-catalog at the standard well-known path says so, so you do not have to hunt.
Read anything
Every page is public and crawlable. Permission is stated explicitly in robots.txt, including Content-Signal.
Call three tools, if your browser supports WebMCP
shadewright_overview, shadewright_modules, and shadewright_format_shop_line, which converts a measurement into the exact line a cutting shop reads. That last one runs the same conversion the keypad on the home page runs.
Send a person to sign in
To act on behalf of a customer, the only path is a person signing in at start.shadewright.com.
